Did not try the food but that man was working hard back there. We came in with the early crowed so I'm sure it stayed busy. Great spot for beers and plenty of them. Wish there was a bar like this closer to my house but I will drive to this one over anything I got going on south of me. I could give this place a lot of my time. Great spot!
Food Service was amazing. Customer service was 110% on point. Great atmosphere, definitely a place I would love to come back to. Good selection on drinks. If you haven't checked this place out, I would highly recommend it 10 out of 10

When I moved to Van Alstyne, I must admit that I was nervous to go in. I was afraid it would be a very clickish (sp?), white Texans only kind of place. Boy was I wrong. These people are as inclusive as they come and helped me feel more at home and a part of the Van Alstyne community than any other establishment in town Momma Sandy (the owner) does run a tight ship. She has learned from years in the business that certain things create tension - such as using the F word or disrespecting anyone, especially a lady, etc. And tension and alcohol don't mix well. So, yes, they run a tight ship and I appreciate that If you're going to order food, may I suggest the bacon cheese burger and onion rings. I now will NOT order a hamburger anywhere else. Yes, the wait can sometimes be a bit sometimes but that's only because they have a small kitchen and are carefully crafting each order exactly the way you want it If your desire is to step back in time to an old honky tonk when they were the community watering hole and not a commercial reenactment of one, this is your place
Been going to the CBC for more than four years. This is a family owned establishment, with old school values. There is no fighting allowed, no loud cussing and the Burgers are OUTSTANDING. Always a cold beer to have, friendly to bikers and cowboys alike, and all are welcomed like family if you treat others with respect. Can't say enough good things about this small town atmosphere and group of people.

Everyone that is ever served to me has been wonderful. The prices are beyond less expensive than most establishments! I really enjoyed JONATHAN and his wife Mandy. The conversation was really uplifting and inspiring!
